No Trump in Tampa?

March 14, 2007

Tampa’s Trump Tower has run into trouble with “liens, lack of financing, and site issues.” Apparently, Jorge Perez of the Related Group has entered the fray to breathe life back into the project. His involvement may make the difference in getting the project’s construction initiated. This whole ordeal is interesting because while Tampa’s market is having difficulty sustaining just one Trump brand tower, Miami’s Sunny Isles alone has the Trump Royale, Palace, International, three-phase Trump tower, and Acqualina—all Trump associated developments. This is another  reminder of just how exceptional Miami’s real estate market is when compared to other major cities; even in Florida.
