Scrapped: Lynx

Although it’s old news, every time I pass by this property I think of what could have been. Chad Oppenheim would have been proud. The CBD would have been bolstered. Instead, we have a parking lot. Damn shame.

I’m not familiar with the story. What happened, why was it canceled? It looks like it would have been a spectacular addition to Miami!

Lynx had been planned for sometime but the project never saw any activity on the ground. It was later reacquired in early 2006 by a developer with no track record, but again the project fizzled. It was designed by Chad Oppenheim and would have arguably been his most high profile design.
